Can China Bail The World Out Again?

Chen Lin opines on that question and says where he is investing his money now.

In my discussion with Chen he noted that China is suffering through its deepest recession in at least 30 years and that the country is actually facing a deflationary crisis at the current time. Thus as other analysts like Daniele Di Martino Booth have opined, China is in now position to stimulate demand now outside of its own country.

As always, Chen had some insightful comments about various markets and in this interview shares some of the place where he is investing his family’s money.

CHEN LIN

Chen Lin had been a doctoral candidate in aeronautical engineering at Princeton. However, he found his investment strategies were so profitable that he put his PhD on the back burner to devote full time to private investing and writing a newsletter titled “What is Chen Buying? What is Chen Selling?”  Chen's track record has been phenomenal!  In one account we tracked, in which he used no leverage, he was able to grow $5,411 starting in 2002 to over $2.2 million by the end of 2012.  I’m guessing those are “small potatoes” for Chen now. His newsletter is mostly for higher net worth investors and hedge fund managers. If interested you can subscribe here: What is Chen Buying? What is Chen Selling?

Chen has become a very good friend of mine over the past couple of decades. Because of his hard work and his wife’s dedication as a full time mother, their two beautiful children are excelling in all their endeavors with their daughter now enrolled in an Ivy League college. Chen is one of the most honest and straight forward speakers you will encounter in the investment world. It is always a pleasure speaking with him. I hope’ you enjoy and profit from my discussion of October 3 with Chen now.

Best wishes,
